About Jayne
Hello, my name is Jayne Saville; welcome to my website.
I have three dogs of my own – two spaniels and a golden retriever. Barney and Sully are both rehomes, so I have experience with the challenges that face owners of rescue / rehomed dogs. Sully, my golden retriever who I took in as a rehome at 15 months, was scared of walking on different surfaces, walking through doorways and gates, travelling in the car walking past parked cars, terrified of anything flapping in the wind and would try to run away. Barney, my rehome spaniel, arrived with issues with guarding bones, balls, toys and certain spaces. My other spaniel Ernie is very busy and I’ve learned how to keep him motivated and channel is natural drive and mentally stimulate him with scent work and gun dog training.
My passions include:
- Giving pups the very best start, as well as dogs that have missed out on their training – everyone benefits from learning the basics.
- Channelling high energy working strain breeds to perform activities that harness their natural abilities in a fun way.
- Helping anxious / nervous dogs flourish and overcome their fears.
- Teaching recall – every dog and owner should be able to experience the pleasure of stress free off lead walks.
My mission is to help dogs and their owners learn together in a positive, supported environment. I deliver fun, reward based training that will harness the dogs natural ability / drive appropriately and embrace their personality. I only run small group training classes.
I’m a certified member of the Dog Training College and a qualified member of the Institute of Modern Dog Training (IMDT) I provide professional, insured dog training services. I also hold additional qualifications in recall training, scentwork and gun dog training. I have experience of working with a wide range of dog breeds, from chihahuas to german shepherds, labradors, spaniels, cockerpoos, terriers and retrievers.
As well as running group training classes and courses, I offer 1:1 training to help you to work with your dog at home. I can refer you to a behavourist if we feel training will not fully resolve an unwanted behaviour.
Call me on 07736 047313 for a chat about your dog and what you’d like to achieve from your training.
I look forward to helping you to get the most from your relationship with your best friend by supporting your lifelong learning journey together.
